Trained methods, used gently

EMDR

EMDR Trained

For memories that still feel loud in the present.

EMDR can help when something from the past keeps showing up in the body, a reaction that arrives faster than thought. We move at a pace you set, and spend time on steadiness before going anywhere difficult. You are never asked to describe more than you want to.

IFS and parts work

IFS Level 1 Trained

For the conflicting sides of yourself.

Internal Family Systems starts from the idea that the part of you that pushes hard and the part that shuts down are both trying to help. Rather than arguing with either one, we get curious about what they are protecting. People often find this loosens self-criticism.

Relational & culturally responsive

Whole context

Your culture, faith, and history belong in the room.

Aisha also draws on mindfulness, somatic awareness, attachment-based work, compassion-focused care, and your existing strengths, combining them depending on what is useful to you.

A quiet corner of a room with a linen armchair, a green wool throw, and morning light on a plain wall.

Who sits across the screen

Most people belong to more than one of these at once: the attorney who is also a parent, the veteran who is also a student.

  • Work and responsibilityExecutives, attorneys, creatives, and professionals used to being the steady one for everybody else.
  • Service and military lifeFirst responders, active military, veterans, and individual members of military families.
  • Bodies and seasonsPerimenopause and menopause, infertility, miscarriage, and difficult birth experiences.
  • Young peopleChildren, teens, and young adults, and the parents trying to find someone they'll talk to.
  • Culture and communityPeople from diverse cultures and marginalized communities who want their context taken seriously.

Aisha works with people one to one; she does not provide family therapy.

From law school to the therapy room, trained for the hard parts

I came to this work by way of law school and a master’s in social work, years spent listening to people at the hardest points of their lives.

My work is collaborative. I’ll ask questions, offer what I notice, and check whether it lands, and you stay the authority on your own life.

Culture, faith, family, and the way the world has treated you all belong in the room. As a military spouse, I also know something about building a life that keeps moving.

  • Law school to social workA Juris Doctor and an MA in Social Work, built on years of listening to people at the hardest points of their lives.
  • EMDR trainedEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, for experiences that still arrive in the body.
  • IFS Level 1 trainedInternal Family Systems parts work, for the conflicting sides of yourself.
  • Children, teens, and adultsOne-to-one therapy across the lifespan, paced to each person's age and stage.
  • Licensed in four statesTexas, Washington, New Mexico, and Florida, fully online.
  • Military family lifeAs a military spouse, Aisha knows something about building a life that keeps moving.

Getting started

  1. Reach out

A sentence or two is plenty. You don't need the right words.

  2. A free 15-minute call

A short call to hear what you're looking for and answer your questions.

  3. Decide together

If it fits, we schedule. If someone else suits you better, Aisha will say so.

If you’ve been carrying it alone, this is where that changes

  • You hold it together for everyone else, then unravel once no one is watching.
  • Something from the past still arrives in your body before you can think.
  • You're high-functioning on the outside and running on empty underneath.
  • You're tired of performing 'fine,' and of sorting it alone before you ask for help.

You don’t need the right words, a tidy diagnosis, or a crisis to justify reaching out. The first step is a free, 15-minute call to see whether Aisha is the right fit, at a pace that respects where you are.

  • No pressure to continue
  • No paperwork to start
  • Confidential, and online
